WESTBOROUGH – On October 13th, trUe salon and color café (trUe) continued its tradition of offering innovative programs that merge ongoing employee education with community support by offering free haircuts to members of the Westborough Senior Center. As part of trUe’s New Talent Program, these complimentary services were offered to seniors at the Westborough Senior Center on 4 Rogers Rd.
The New Talent Program began in 2008 to provide stylists the opportunity to expand their skills while serving the community at the same time. Seniors are able to receive a valuable service and feel good about helping a stylist reach their full potential and perform to trUe’s rigorous styling standards.
“This Program is a great way for stylists who are new to trUe to gain additional experience and hone their skills. Our team always enjoys visiting the Westborough Senior Center and interacting with members who have such interesting life stories to share with us,” said Melyssa Ganas, a Stylist at trUe.
The popular salon, which has two locations in Westborough and Framingham, provides its stylists with career-enriching opportunities, including industry conferences and events. Over the summer, trUe sent three team members to the 2015 Energizing Summit in Los Angeles which featured Andre Nizetich, the President of the American Board of Certified Haircolorists.
Just a few months later, employees attended the Northeast Educational Conference in South Portland, Maine, to participate in engaging classes instructed by leading industry professionals. In addition, stylists are required to participate in ongoing training to ensure clients are provided with designer haircuts and color, with every visit.
“trUe is committed to providing our stylists with the best opportunities to fuel their continued success in the industry. With a passion for helping our community, streamlining a program that incorporates two vital aspects of our business was a natural fit,” said trUe salon and color café President, Kevin Townsend.
trUe salon invites seniors to contact their Westborough (508-366-3306) or Framingham (508-879-3130) locations for additional details or to schedule a free haircut and style.
For 32 years, trUe salon and color café has been dedicated to building an expert team of highly-skilled stylists who receive continuous cutting-edge education to provide their clients with the best quality products and services in the industry. As a privately owned salon, trUe has given back to numerous charitable organizations in the communities it serves throughout the region. The salon offers two convenient locations in Framingham and Westborough. For more information, visit https://truesalon.com/.
