At trUe Salon and Color Cafe, we’re passionate about hair color and giving our clients the best experience possible. So when the trUe team discovered a product that could dramatically reduce breakage and strengthen hair during the hair coloring treatment process, we were ecstatic. Here’s what we found…
How it works:
Olaplex improves the strength of hair during the coloring process with two easy steps during in-salon treatments. trUe recommends purchasing step number three, to maintain your hair’s strength at home in-between salon services. The first product, Bond Multiplier No.1, will be applied directly to your hair color, and it will start repairing hair bonds which are broken during chemical, mechanical, and thermal services.
Olaplex No.2 Bond Perfector will be applied before shampooing and contains the same ground-breaking ingredient found in the first step— except this time it’s been formulated into a cream solution. The second step will connect the residual disulfide bonds to restore the integrity of your hair. The retail product Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector is available at trUe’s Westborough and Framingham Salons. This important component to the Olaplex system allows you to maintain your hair’s new found strength in-between salon treatments.
If you do decide to take Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector home, congratulations (you won’t be disappointed)! Simply apply the product liberally to towel-dried hair, comb through, and let it sit for ten minutes or more. Even though the product isn’t a conditioning treatment, the longer it’s left on your hair the better! After, make sure to rinse, shampoo, and condition as usual.
It’s worth noting that Keratin users won’t reap the same benefits from Olaplex. Instead, trUe recommends Keratin Complex Vitalshot to repair damaged hair and restore vibrancy and bounce.
What’s in it?
Olaplex contains the active ingredient Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate which acts a bond multiplier. The product goes to work immediately seeking out single sulfur hydrogen bonds and strengthens hair by linking them back together to form disulfide bonds. Olaplex is a unique product which has eight pending patents worldwide!
We’ll tell you what’s not in Olaplex, too! No sulfates, phthalates, DEA, or aldehydes. Olaplex is also gluten-free, and doesn’t contain silicone. Olaplex is never tested on animals, so fluffy bunnies everywhere can keep their hair, while you enhance yours!
How do I get it?
Add this treatment to your next hair color appointment for only $22.00, and take home the Perfector product for just $28.00. If you hair is extremely damaged and too fragile for chemical or color services, trUe can help you improve its quality with Olaplex, as a stand-alone service. Olaplex will strengthen your hair, so you can start coloring again.
trUe’s team of expert stylists can’t wait to give you an up close and personal introduction to Olaplex! For more information, or to schedule an appointment to try this exclusive, patent pending product, call a trUe salon near you.
